Movie making dilemmas.

Helloooooo. Posting time. My first session in about (or) a month, sorry I didn't post anything. Some people (Ken) have been voicing their (his) concerns about the fact that I post too many gaming related posts.........AND! due to this I haven't been able to write anything in ages. Mainly because the most interesting thing I've been doing recently is gaming but now with term 2 I can post about some goings ons.

SciCurious. A random "scientific" film making competition where groups of students send in movies in order to compete for a grand prize. Such is a competition myself, daniel, phillip and a number of other students from my school have entered. I actually don't think many groups will complete their projects before the deadline mainly due to the difficultly of finding sufficient equipment for filming.

In our mission up until now we had only come across one set back. It being a flaw with the initial concept of the film, condensation. You find condensation EVERYWHERE! problem is its rather hard to successfully recreate it given our circumstances. Soooo we changed the idea to Condensation of the mind.

This worked rather well and added a certain craziness to our film. It did detract from the whole physical world of science but added psychological. There is still a tad of a problem in showing this psychosis but I'm sure that proper editing and sweetening will fix this.

Then came our current dilemmas. Taking the period off to do a simple job of getting all the video files off phillip's school account of the network turned to hell. Apparently we got them off the Camera in an improper fashion causing something random to happen so with the current formats we had we couldn't edit on the computer, not a problem we want to get them onto my USB. Lo and behold 5 video files averaging at around 20 minutes of video took up 2.1 gb NICE!

When we tried to import them to complete the transfer of all the file we would of been waiting in the library for 4 hours. THEN! if the same thing happened on my computer I would of had to wait for another 4. So all the time it took to import the video has been waste along side a period and now Daniel, Phillip and I have to re-import the files correctly and edit the entire thing at school. MOTHERF**KER!
