Borderlands! ZOMG*.* The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned. DLC Review.

Well I finally go Borderlands back from Sam and I have a ton to talk about. First off I'll review the first of 2 DLC's I bought, The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned. Seriously I was so glad to get this game back I played about 14 hours when I got it back on the first day completing my first play through of the single player.

Getting into the review nothing much gameplay wise has changed which is completely fine its the style, visuals and new Halloween motif that's been added with this DLC to make it awesome. I think all in all I've spent 7 - 14 hours in Jakob's Cove, I think that's $10 well spent.

To get to Jakob's Cove where the DLC is set all you have to do is go to a fast travel. Jakob's Cove is an island settlement for the workers of a Jakob's corporation factory. The Jakob's develops powerful old timey looking guns that you can buy in-game. The local doctor, Doctor Ned who isn't related to Doctor Zed accidentally turned all the workers on Jakob's Cove into brain slurping zombies.

The DLC features hilarious humor which a funny Scooby Doo camo and penis jokes.....only one but its funny......DIRK SMALLWOOD. I'd say the comedy is its biggest strenght and I great reason to buy it.

ZOMBIES ARE AWESOME! Okay so everybody loves killing zombies right? Right. So what type of zombies are there to kill? Well first off you have your basic stereotype slow moving zombie then there are some cool variations. Zombies that vomit of you which blinds you makes you move slowly for a small amount of time. Psycho zombies that when you weaken them there eyes glow red and they run really fast. Midget zombies that jump at you. Giant pumpkin headed zombies that throw pumpkin grenades. Frankenstein like zombies that have gas tanks or loot boxes on there backs and a really AWESOME FINAL BOSS! And a cool twist sort of ending. Oh! are WERESKAGS and also some other cool monsters.

Bad points: There is a list of missions that require you to collect 10 - 250 zombie brains that take freaking ages......there is an achievement tied to it though....its pretty meh. There are no special items that you can get like zombie guns or something which is sad. And that is pretty much it I can't really think of anything else bad.

Gameplay: 9.0 - Still very solid and the new enemies are fun to kill.
Graphics: 10 - I love the new motif and style. ZOMBIES.
Sound: 9.0 - A great creepy soundtrack. Makes you feel like your in a cornfield.....lol.
Worth: 9.5 - Definity worth looking into if your a fan of Borderlands and or zombies.
Overall: 9.5 - Seriously a great DLC apart from the overkill "Braaaaaaaaaaaains". For 800 points its well worth it for anything lower I'd say a steal.
