Tis truely the dark knights darkest day.......

A very weary grief stricken Ciaran here with a post for you about a game he recently, I mean yesterday rented about the caped crusader. Batman: Arkham Asylum. Okay, don't get me wrong. Batman: Arkham Asylum is a great game but suffers from a flaw so game breakingly horrible that I don't think I can play it about......read on.

Let me take you back to yesterday. SCENE! A happy young boy that had just failed in acquiring an R16 game browses across a selection of games for rent. His gleaming eyes now finally rest on a copy of the latest Batman game. Hearing only good things about said game the boy takes the copy of the 3 day rental, M rated game and cheerfully skips to the counter. He pays an $5 late fee from 3 months ago when he had previously rented out Barbie fairytale pony adventure and didn't take it back for 3 days over the overnight label because it was AWESOME! And! continues to pay the $8 dollar rental cost.

With copy in hand the boy ran all the way back home to play the game on what is father called his thingamajig. He played the marvelous game for 5 hours, turned off the console and went to work at the glue factory. He returned home from work inserted the game into the thingamajig only to find that all he had worked for was gone like a birthday clowns dignity.

Funny thing the exact same thing happened to me except with out Barbies, thingamajigs and birthday clowns. Said in the least funny way it was extremely heartbreaking. If you think its not sad and you should get a life I'll put it into context for you. Imagine if an escaped convict came to your house with knife and "Deleted" your mother, father and siblings and then delete your Myface account, throw your Ipod and cat into a burn building and then finally emotionally rape you. That's basically how it would feel.

To conclude this emotional post I would like to say somethings. Batman: Arkham Asylum is a spectacular game with a grabbing storyline, great action scenes and amazing voice work. It makes you feel like your the Batman. It does however kind of feel like an interactive movie and controls are definitely clunky. What deleted my and many other peoples saves was its horrible AutoSave function, you pretty much can't turn your Xbox off at anytime while the games in or it will delete everything....I mean everything....but not achievements. Many games have this problem and they need to get it fixed...
